We all know that setting up an appointment to sit back and have a friendly doctor using cold metal objects in your mouth in a not-so-friendly way isn’t exactly a top-ten choice for how we would like to spend our time. Probably not even top 50. That being said, there comes a time in our lives when we have to stop using the carefree method of “I’m going to avoid doctor visits at all costs, and hope that nothing goes wrong,” and actually be proactive with our health. Well, friends, that time is now.
Along with the possibility of snagging a free toothbrush and a handful of sugar-free lollipops, there are plenty of other reasons why skipping out on getting your smile examined is crucial to your health, and overall wellbeing. Preventative care, information on oral care and awareness, and future dental problems are all very real reasons to pick up that phone and make an appointment.
If you brush your teeth every day, getting your teeth cleaned might not be your idea of a good time. We’ve all been there. It’s easy to see how for many of us, a checkup at the dentist can get placed on the backburner.
